Education for All

'Education for All' has been spoken and debated over and over in the Parliament, been into the Constitution of India for the last 60 years.

It has been one subject that has made a lot of money, votes and politics. But the beneficiaries are still to gain through SSA(Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan).

Education and all the initiatives are a way of satisfying the ego-centric demands of politicians, corporations and in some cases silence the humdrum of few activists triggered by suicides, poor performance and so many other things that have relation to everthing but education..

We have long forgotten the real purpose of education. We have been dragged into the consumer and producer mindset of producing more and more engineers to feed more and more industrial worlds. So, a very common question arises "How come you as a engineer/doctor/scientist wants to work in a municipal school as a teacher?" pl. note this person could have become a teacher due to umpteen number of reasons.. 1. he is very passonate about teaching and wants to educate poor kids with good quality education, 2. he wants to develop a new ways of education and municipal schools would be the best place to experiment the findings. 3. he was not fit for feeding the industrial world in the first place and was a square peg in a round hole. 4. he never got a job and teaching in India is the easiest and sadly the last sought option.... so on and so forth...
So the question still remains unanswered.. Isnt education meant to empower people.?
Isnt education meant to free minds and allow unconstrained thinking, allow creativity to take shapes beyond contexts and frameworks?

Isnt education meant to solve problems, because I personally feel that when we start solving problems, we not only bring peace to others lives, but also brings back more peaceful people to contribute in the ecosystem... very few corporations have learnt this and mostly all the governments across the globe have got this wrong big time and still refer to education in frameworks and contexts...

Education in India is the most neglected and the least developed area .. and hence the opportunities are endless. If we boast of Indian intellectuals throughout the world, we also must go back and visit them.. and a closer look at them and their lives will suggest nothing further from truth. All these men and women from Mahatma Gandhi to Narayan Murthy , from Dhirubhai Ambani to Sachin Tendulkar were all men and women who never fit the contexts and frameworks.. they always had unreasonable agendas and unconventional ways of working.. ..that is education...i m not hero-worshipping here, but heros act as a testimony to findings.. hence are being mentioned here..

If you are working in the area of education, not the Educomp, iKen way, but the way Mandi does, Millee does, butterfly does. Surya does, I would also like to work with you...and there are many more dots that I wish to connect to and work towards the goal of Developed, Empowered India at the earliest...
